I think that they shouldn't be giving children drugs like that because I think that they are at a young age and it is easier for them to get addicted to that drug. When they get older they would depend on that drug. When I was younger, the doctor told my mother that they wanted to put me on Ritalin, but she wouldn't let them. If I was a parent I wouldn't let them put my child on Ritalin either. They give medication to children who are depressed. If I would have told my mom that I was depressed when I was younger she would have said you are too young to be depressed. I was just think children are too young to get depressed.

which one is true?

Bring happy is better than being wise, but you can't be happy without being wise.

Truth

only the turtle knows the weight of it's shell

Is The Drug War Over?

I really don't have mush to say, but there are many things that I could say about this topic. Is the drug war over? NO. I think as long as people are alive, there will always be a war over drugs even though the proportion of drug offenders are declining. People will do almost anything to get their hands on drugs. I think that the crime rate will rise if the drug war was over, because all the people that are creving for the drug that they want and they don't get it they will go crazy until they will get that drug.

My Uncle Guillermo Speaks at His Own Funeral

If this is the last sound I may make
I must say something that is true.

LaVida, my wife, I hated
that cock you kept
chained to the stove.
During the yellowed morings
he crowed out his madness
as if he's forgotten
who lived there,
so you'd sing compensatory
songs when the kitchen
of arroz y habichuelas
and the anger of my desire.

When you fell in love
with my brother Miguel,
I covered my ears as you told me.
My arms grew weak
and thin as a boy's.
You were certain to carry
something out from my world
since I could not even
stir the air with my meaning.

Oh, loved you like the windows
which watched you
and I loved you when
your crotch was a furnace
and I love you now
though you're ugly
with crying.

Yvonne Sapia
I like this poem because the author explained love in a different level.

End of Craving

A controversial new drug that seems to stop addiction cold is ( 18-MC). I think that they should try to stop all the underage from smoking and then we can say that we have good news. It is probably impossible to stop all the underage smokers to stop smoking, I just think that it there is no good news unless they stop them all. One of the main reasons that they I say that is , it is possible is because some parents smoke cigarettes with their underage teens, and I think that is starts with the parent. If the mother or father doesn't care that they smoke do you think they would care what anyone else would think. There are many reasons why underage teens smoke cigarettes, high stress, frequent boredom, and too much spending money which also contribute to the teen's use of alcohol and illedal drugs. When I was a teen the last thing that cameto my mind was cigarettes. The state efforts have been good, but to me not good enough. I think that they should give stiffer punishment to people who sell cigarettes to underage smokers, not just to the provider.

Damn!

Hmm, everything looked different.
Is it my sight?
Is alright.
Think!
Brain boiling in my head.
Think
Eyes bigger. type='text'>Emptying Town

Each fall this town empties, leaving me
drained, standing on the dack, waving bye
bye, the white handkerchief
stuck in my throat. You know the way Jesus

rips open his shirt
to show us his heart, all flaming and thorny,
the way he points to it. I'm afraid

the way I miss you will be this obvious. I have

a friend who everyone warns me
is dangerous, he hides
bloody images of Jesus around my house

for me to find when I come home-Jesus
behind the cupboard door, Jesus tucked

into the mirror. He wants to save me
but we disagree from what. My versionof hell
is someone ripping open his
shirt&saying,

look what I did for you.

-Nick Flynn
I like this poem, the way it is explained, and the symbols that are presented.
